SF Green Film Festival
The San Francisco Green Film Festival (SFGFF) returns March 1-7, 2012 as the Bay Area’s only event dedicated to film and media that explore green issues and sustainable living. SFGFF brings critical and contemporary environmental issues to local audiences and, in the process, highlights the vital work of our many partners. The 2,000 attendees at our first festival in March 2011 enjoyed a broad array of new films in carefully curated sessions that challenged, provoked, and entertained as well as provided abundant material for hours of discussion.
Noetic Film Experience
From shamanic healing and frontier science to meditation, mythology, 2012, and personal transformation, the Institute of Noetic Science’s inaugural Noetic Film Experience weekend will have something for everyone. Celebrate great filmmaking, view films with transformative themes, and take part in discussions, receptions, and Q&A with filmmakers and scientists.
Princeton Environmental Film Festival
Founded in 2006, the PEFF's mission is to use film as a medium to encourage discussion about the environment, raise awareness about our shared environment, and stimulate community action to develop and make more environmentally sustainable choices and create more livable communities.The Princeton Environmental Film Festival is sponsored by the Princeton Public Library. Wild & Scenic Film Festival

Santa Barbara Intl Film Festival
The Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF), presented by lynda.com, announces its stellar line-up for 2012. The 27th edition offers a vast array of films representing 44 countries and a rich selection of films sure to delight audiences from all reaches of the globe. SBIFF is proud to welcome many promising and established filmmakers, as well as honorees to join in its grand tradition of celebrating independent film. The Festival begins Thursday, January 26 and continues through Sunday, February 5, 2012.
Palo Alto International Film Festival
The Palo Alto International Film Festival (PAIFF) is a four-day film festival running September 29-October 2, 2011. PAIFF hopes to foster a local and international community that celebrates the masters and innovatorsbehind the scenes as much as it does the stars in front of the screen. PAIFF features a diverse, exciting lineup of 22 features and 79 short films curated from award-winning filmsand film festival favorites. The film lineup embodies PAIFF’s theme of innovation in art, film and technology.
American Renewable Energy Day Film Festival
Founded in 2004 as a one-day renewable energy expo, American Renewable Energy Day (AREDAY) is now one of the most important renewable energy technology and policy summits in the United States. AREDAY's multi-faceted program platform includes the Film Festival featuring leading edge renewable energy and solution based films encouraging bold action NOW to solve catastrophic climate change.
Sausalito Film Festival 2011
The Sausalito Film Festival returns the weekend of August 19-21 for a second year in its idyllic home at Cavallo Point, the LEED Gold Certified eco-resort on the San Francisco Bay at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge.The three-day experiential festival pairs screenings with relevant events that include filmmakers and thought provoking industry leaders in discussion about vital topics such as human rights, conservation, autism, health and wellness, climate change and the power of the human spirit.
Topanga Film Festival
The Topanga Film Festival is dedicated to empower, inform and inter-connect all generations of storytellers who wish to pioneer a new era of global trans-format content. The Institute endeavors to promote culture, community, and collaboration through the creative process of storytelling. Since all good stories have an emotional and educational impact we thrive on providing outreach that inspires change. This year's festival runs Thursday 7/28 through Sunday 7/31.

A Film Contest to Inspire A New Positive Future
Here is our invitation to the storytellers of the world: Make a short film that Inspires us. Moves us. Gives us something to believe in.
Envision a new, positive, possible future for the world. One that is environmentally sustainable, socially just, peaceful and spiritually fulfilling.
The film contest includes awards valuing $30,000 that will be announced in July. Films can be 1 to 5 minutes in length, and must be submitted by June 21st.
